• Satyarthi was born in Vidisha, alittle town within the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh into a middle-class Hindu family. Born as Kailash Sharma, he was unhappy with the class structure . meaning to diminish the role of caste in his own life, he replaced his surname with Satyarthi, meaning the ‘seeker of truth.’

• He was significantly suffering from the shortage of faculty access for all children and his experiences

with poverty in his youth. He completed his education in Vidisha and attended Government School and completed a UG degree in EE at Samrat Ashok Technological Institute in Vidisha (now Barkatullah University) and a post-graduate degree in high-voltage engineering. Satyarthi joined his college as a teacher for a couple of years. He left a lucrative career as an engineer and have become an activist afterward .

• As a grass-roots activist, Kailash and therefore the grassroot movement founded by him, in 1980 he founded the Bachpan Bachao Andolan (Save the Childhood Movement) nonprofit organisation aimed toward establishing a child-friendly society. He began raiding factories, brick kilns and carpet-making workshops where children and their indebted parents often pledge themselves to figure for many years reciprocally for a short-term loan. His organization has successfully been ready to protect the rights of quite 83,000 children from 144 countries consistent with the sources.

• Satyarthi launched a worldwide campaign to prevent this child labour and was supported by europe and USA also and Asian countries too specially his Rugmark campaign. Till 1999 there was no internation law for slavery and during this year Internatrional labour organization launched new convention C182 TO TOP ANY sorts of CHILD SLAVERY.

• Satyarthi became a worldwide icon. He has built a robust base on the buyer awareness campaign against use of products made by children. He expresses his personal commitment bringing freedom and joy to the youngsters of the planet . He also launched shiksha Yatra to form education because the fundamental right and in 2002 it had been amended under 86th amendment act making education a fundamental right to 6-14 years.

• For raising awareness on trafficking, the Kailash Satyarthi Foundation (KSCF) in 2017 initiated a nationwide awareness programme titled the Bharat Yatra, from Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu , about child trafficking. within the year that followed, the campaign resulted within the introduction of the Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection and Rehabilitation) Bill, 2018 within the Lok Sabha.
